Every good horseman I know loves a good tack room. The smell of the leather, the wall of hanging headstalls and bits, saddles, and tools needed to make great animals.

It’s where the tools of our trade live. Where things get adjusted, repaired, tried, traded out, and occasionally hung on the wall because it taught you something worth remembering.

Consider this platform and brand my strategic tack room.

A collection of frameworks, ideas, thoughts, experiences, questions, and lessons gathered somewhere in the plains, from either in the saddle or in a boardroom and everywhere in between.

We’ll talk strategy, leadership, organizational health, agriculture, and rural business. And what horses have taught me about communication, pressure, preparation, and trust that can be carried on outside the arena.

I don’t have all the answers.

But I believe in asking better questions, paying attention to what’s happening beneath the surface, and being willing to adjust when something isn’t working.
